Traders & Investors Club Meeting - 20th April 2010
Here is the Agenda for the evening:
The Two-Bar Chart Pattern
This evening, Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club, will be discussing one the simplest, yet seldom-used, strategies for taking advantage of short-term price moves.
Kevin will be examining several two-bar patterns, with particular emphasis on how they can provide us with an insight into a potential change in investor psychology.
We shall be examining the significance of several two-bar patterns including:
Inside days
Outside days
Two-bar reversals
Can an understanding of short-term price action complement our traditional technical trading strategies? Come along and find out.
Kevin will also be sharing with us a simple trade setup that is profitable more than 75% of the time.
Trading Volatility - The Strategies
Last month, Vito Turitto of the Traders & Investors Club, introduced us to the fascinating world of asymmetric volatility, which describes the phenomenon whereby negative shocks increase market volatility more than positive shocks of the same magnitude.
Those of us who participated in Vito's presentation will appreciate how Vito has the natural ability to explain what might otherwise have been a complicated subject in a language that we can all understand.
This month, Vito will be discussing a topic even closer to our hearts.........how we can make money using our new-found knowledge of asymmetric volatility.
As well as recapping last month's presentation, Vito will also be discussing:
How to use the Black-Scholes model to calculate Volatility together with its limits and drawbacks
Trading Volatility using news and the Economic Calendar
An introduction to Market Profile
Trading Volatility using Market Profile: an intraday approach
Vito will also be inviting your questions about his analysis and trading techniques.
We guarantee that you will never take volatility for granted again.
Our Month In The Market
The Traders & Investors Club is an indispensable element in the development of both new and experienced traders.
One of the major benefits of membership of the Traders & Investors Club is the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.
Every evening, members discuss their successful and not so successful trades, as well as sharing their individual trading strategies and methods that maximise their profits in the market.
Jeff Boccaccio of the Traders & Investors Club is a full-time technical trader who has shared several of his trades with us over the past few months. This evening, Jeff will be discussing some of his recent trade setups accompanied by chart illustrations in glorious technicolor.
Market Roundup And Open Forum
No matter what the prevailing market conditions, there are always trading opportunities to be discovered
Nowadays, we are no longer restricted to the stock market upon which to build our portfolio. It is now just as straightforward to gain exposure to other asset classes such as commodities, foreign exchange and derivatives.
In order to be a successful trader in the modern world, you must be aware of how the US dollar or an after dinner speech by Ben Bernanke will affect your stock, commodity and property portfolios. Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club will be presenting our regular summary of the recent global market action and throwing the floor open to the audience for their take on the current trading environment.
