The Influence Of The Sun On Financial Markets And The Macro Economy
This evening, it is our great pleasure to welcome John Hampson of SolarCycles.net. John is a self-taught UK-based Global Macro trader whose portfolio includes stock indices, commodities, currencies, bonds and real estate.
John has developed a unique approach towards trading the markets based upon his proposition that solar cycles drive secular asset cycles.
In this evening's presentation, John will be discussing:
Solar sunspot and geomagnetism cycles are behind economic cycles of growth and inflation
Geomagnetism and lunar phasing are key influences of market sentiment
Geomagnetism trends and lunar phase oscillation create technical waveform
Stock market seasonality corresponds to semi annual geomagnetic seasonality
Astro trading is based on planetary alignment which influences solar activity: sunspots and geomagnetism
Demographic market models correlate with solar cycle

Market Roundup And Open Forum
When establishing a vineyard, the grower will plant a rose bush at the end of every row of vines. The reason being is that rose bushes are susceptible to the same diseases as the vine providing an early and very visible warning to the grower that all is not well.
In the same way as the rose is the sentinal to the vine, divergence is the sentinel to the market.
We can see divergences everywhere at the moment. The S&P500 index has been pushing higher without the participation of the European indices nor the trading volume necessary to sustain a genuine bull run. We have even seen divergence between the S&P500 and the $VIX index. which is most unusual to say the least.
For some time, the Gold Bugs Index, representing unhedged gold mining stocks, has been diverging from the gold spot price. As the vine to the rose, the gold spot price has not only turned south but has broken long its term rising trendline.
But isn't gold the ultimate safe haven from the raging hyperinflation that will be ravaging us any day now?
Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club will be explaining why we will be seeing neither hyperinflation nor a booming gold price anytime soon.
He will also be discussing his market positions for the month ahead as well as presenting our regular summary of the recent global market action and throwing the floor open for YOUR take on the current trading environment.
